Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the website groad.app and to all apps by groad.app.
1. Local processing
App data such as kitchen timers, favorites, custom cooking items, game progress, highscores, profiles, layouts, learning progress, project files, analysis results, or groconvert conversions is generally processed and stored locally on your device. We do not transmit window contents, filenames, photos, documents, media, or other personal content to our servers.
2. No own usage analytics
groad.app does not run its own advertising or tracking infrastructure inside the apps. Store platforms such as Microsoft, Apple, or Google may process technical data under their own terms, for example for downloads and in-app purchases.
3. This website
groad.app is hosted by IONOS SE. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested page, browser) in server log files. Fonts are served by groad.app itself; no third-party content is loaded, no tracking cookies are set, and no analytics tools are used. Your color-scheme choice is stored locally in your browser only.
4. Support requests
If you use the support form or contact us by email, we process the information you provide only to handle your request. Form submissions are delivered to us by email.
growarranty: purchases and receipts
growarranty stores items, purchase details, categories, receipts and reminder settings locally on your device. Camera and file access are used for receipt imports you initiate; local reminders require your permission.
If you select a household folder, the app writes backups to that folder. A cloud file provider you choose may transfer and store those files under its own terms. PDF dossiers, ZIP backups and shared files leave the app through the export and sharing destinations you select. Purchase and license checks use the respective app store.
grocraftnotes: customers and site survey data
grocraftnotes stores customer and contact details, jobs, rooms, components, measurements, answers, notes, photos, original attachments, templates and business information that you enter locally. Camera and file access support captures or imports you initiate. The app does not include its own analytics or advertising.
If you choose shared storage, the app places the required data and media in that folder. A file or cloud provider you choose may store and transfer them under its terms. The app displays sync status and conflicts. Local reset, disconnecting storage and deleting shared content are separate actions. Exported PDFs, ZIP files and templates leave through destinations you select. Purchases are checked through the respective store; purchase entitlements and device-specific settings are not synchronized as a shared license.
gronotes: notes, shared storage and purchases
gronotes (app.groad.gronotes) stores notes, tasks, ideas, code snippets and settings locally on your device. There is no gronotes account, advertising, analytics or tracking in the app. Note content is not sent to groad.
If you select shared storage, that folder contains content, revisions and shared settings. Any transfer is handled by the cloud, file or NAS provider you choose, under its own terms. Folder permissions and device paths remain specific to each device and are not shared with other devices.
Exports and storage packages are plain text without additional encryption by gronotes. Earlier versions and deletion markers are retained to resolve conflicts. Deleting an entry does not automatically remove its history, backups or copies held by a provider.
The relevant store (Apple/StoreKit, Google Play or Microsoft) processes purchases and payments. gronotes receives no card or bank details. On Android, the app receives purchase receipts and entitlements from Google Play, checks them on the device and encrypts the cached receipt with an Android Keystore key outside backups. Entitlements are not included in note exports or shared folders. There is no groad license server.
Support does not automatically receive notes, exports, receipts or credentials. An initial request only needs the app version, operating system, device type and steps to reproduce the issue. The general website and support information on this page continues to apply. Contact gronotes support
iOS / macOS: If you set up a direct Nextcloud / HTTPS-WebDAV connection, gronotes sends notes, revisions and shared settings via HTTPS/WebDAV to the server you specify. The folder address, username and app password remain in the device-bound Apple keychain and are not included in note exports, backups or shared workspace packets. Nothing is sent to groad.
The iOS version offers optional direct connections to OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox. After signing in with the provider, content and attachments sync directly with the selected folder. Google Drive requires account-wide Drive access to see files from other devices; gronotes operates in the selected folder. OneDrive and Dropbox use an app folder. Sign-in tokens stay in the device-bound keychain, outside exports and shared data. Disconnecting removes the local sign-in, not cloud files. You can also revoke access with the provider. groad does not receive this data. The selected provider's terms apply.
On Android, you select files and a shared folder using the system file picker. The app gains access to the selected content; an installed file or cloud provider may transfer and store it. Anyone with access to the shared folder can read its contents. Android does not use a direct cloud sign-in inside gronotes; the app does not receive cloud passwords through this process.
Local data remains stored until you remove it. On Android, you can clear the app's data in system settings to remove it completely from the app. Shared folders, exports, backups and copies on other devices must be removed separately; provider retention and trash follow the provider's rules. groad cannot delete these locations for you.
For children and parents: Local use needs no sign-in. gronotes has no public feed or chat. Please set up shared storage and purchases with a parent or trusted adult. Do not share private details without their help. Use the contact below for privacy questions.
